It was earlier reported that Samsung might not use its own Exynos processor in the upcoming Galaxy S4 and opt for a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset instead. However, a Taipei-based JPMorgan analyst now claims that Samsung will instead both processors – the Snapdragon in the US and the Exynos 5 Octa in Europe and other markets where LTE isn’t present.

The Galaxy Note 2 was the first high-end Samsung smartphone that used an Exynos chipset in all markets, but it seems Samsung will be continuing the tradition of the Galaxy S flagships sporting a Qualcomm chipset in the US with the Galaxy S4. Both are capable chipsets, however, so no matter which of those Samsung decides to use, users won’t find anything to complain about.

There’s also the matter of whether Samsung is gonna forfeit using a Super AMOLED display or not, which is probably a greater thing of interest for most users. With the official announcement of the Galaxy S4 only a couple of weeks away, such rumors are expected to come flying out of the pot in ever-increasing numbers, and you can rest assured that we’ll be here to let you about them all.

Which processor would you guys prefer to see in the next big thing from Samsung?
