Android 4.2 Jelly Bean brought along a major change in the interface of the default Android clock app, along with a redesigned widget which was lacking any functionality other than showing the time and date. This was something the CyanogenMod team set out to correct. The result? cLock.

cLock adds a slew of features to the stock Android clock widget on Android 4.2, such as the ability to show weather or alarms info, and even the option to display a scrollable list of upcoming calendar events. If you are irritated by the bold hour part of the time being displayed, you can disable that or make the minutes part bold as well.

Or if you’re interested, you can change the font colour of each and every text on the clock widget, allowing easy differentiation between the info being displayed. Since cLock is based on the Android 4.2 clock app, there is support for placing the widget on the lockscreen as well, so you can replace the boring default clock widget.

Here’s the full list of features of cLock:

cLock is really a must have app for those who are on Android 4.2, as it gives you a much more functional alternative to the default clock widget. Installing it requires downloading its APK file and sideloading it via a file manager, steps for which are given below if you’re not familiar with manual installation of apps.
